Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, according to an announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer stated in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to return to the US capital after encountering a mechanical fault.
