1. Top Player Palmer Available for Important London Clash with The Gunners

The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca stated on Friday that Cole Palmer is set to return for the team's vital Premier League fixture against local rivals Arsenal.

The 23-year-old English midfielder had been sidelined due to a broken toe suffered after an accidental incident.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca commented. “Everyone is happy.”

This season, Palmer has made only four appearances across all competitions, scoring twice.

Since his arrival from City in 2023, he has recorded 45 strikes and 29 setups in 101 matches for the London club.

“He is our top performer, we are happy he is back, we need to give him time to be 100% fit,” Maresca noted. “He has been brilliant historically and no doubt he is going to do great things for this club in the future.”

Everton have failed in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's red card for an on-field altercation with teammate Michael Keane during the team's 1-0 victory at Manchester United.

The 36-year-old Senegalese player was sent off just early on into the contest after striking Keane during a disagreement over a misplaced pass.

The player immediately apologized, and the teammates appeared making up later in a mock social media post.

However, the appeal against the dismissal was rejected, and Gueye must serve a three-match suspension, making Everton depleted for their next match against Newcastle.

“We lodged an appeal and it was unsuccessful,” manager the manager revealed. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

Inquired about any further fallout from the event, Moyes continued: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we progressed quite quickly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

The club's manager Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be ready for the side's home fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion on the weekend.

“We hope it is improving,” Dyche commented as he got ready to face the Brighton manager's team, who have secured a decent haul from their last three outings.

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 Europa League victory, but Dyche said the player “is expected to be okay”.

Meanwhile, Ola Aina (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and the defender (hip) are likely to be unavailable.

6. Oliver Glasner: European Defeat Won't Set Back Crystal Palace
