American Armed Forces Conducts Deadly Strike in Pacific, Leading to 4 Fatalities

According to a senior military official, the American armed forces executed a lethal kinetic engagement on a boat in the eastern Pacific, resulting in the deaths of four individuals.

“A US joint task force carried out a lethal kinetic strike on a craft linked to a Designated Terrorist Organization in open sea. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along a known drug smuggling route and was engaged in illicit drug transport. All four male narco-terrorists were eliminated, and no US military forces were injured.”

Context and Recent Actions

The statement comes a day after a declaration regarding a blockade of all targeted oil tankers to and from Venezuela. That statement on social media, the American leader accused Venezuela of using oil revenues to fund drug trafficking and other crimes, vowing to increase the military presence.

Only on the previous day, the Pentagon stated it had carried out strikes on three boats suspected of trafficking drugs in the Pacific, leading to the deaths of eight people. Since 2 September, over 20 strikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 99 people, most off the coast of Venezuela.

Government Justifies Tactics Amid Pressure

The government has faced increasing demands to make public video of a September 2nd vessel attack. However, the defense secretary have declined to do so. The administration has supported its campaign as a success, arguing it has prevented drugs from reaching US shores and has dismissed concerns that it is exceeding the limits of legal military action.

While the administration has stated the operation is about halting drugs destined for the US, remarks from a top official seemed to confirm a wider geopolitical aim. In a recently published interview, the chief of staff remarked the leader “aims to keep on blowing boats up until Venezuela's president cries uncle.”

This indicates the series of strikes may be part of a push to remove Venezuela's sitting leadership.
